Our Mission is to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost people of downtown Athens, while abiding in the love of Christ.
On a nightly basis we find ourselves next to one of the largest bar scenes in the U.S., filled with broken people who turn to the world to fulfill them instead of our Lord. What better way can we love them than meeting them where they are and sharing the Truth with them?
Why?
Matthew 28:19-20
Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age
How?
Prayer!
Psalm 127:1
Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
Each night we will begin in a collective time of prayer, followed by a scripture reading, then a group break out time of prayer.
No matter how many people we have, we will always have an equal number of people actively praying at the coffee shop and evangelizing on the streets. Groups that are out sharing the Gospel should also remain in Christ when starting and having conversations. Without this our works are fruitless.

If you don't feel comfortable or ready to share the Gospel in that manner, we'd still love to have you! Being only a member of the prayer team is as valuable, if not more valuable! We'd also love to equip you and help get you to the point that Gospel conversations feel both comfortable and natural!
